About The Family

Promoting transparency in the world cocoa economy. Our goals is to implement sustainable agricultural practices, improve productivity, and increase incomes of thousands of small to medium size cocoa producers. Cocoa Family works with farmers to develop their business knowledge and farming skills. The farmers, specially in the cocoa sector, are very conscious that the traders don’t have farmers’ interests and welfare at heart. Cocoa Family acts the mediator between the cocoa growing countries and the processing industry. Cocoa Family works hard towards obtaining fair prices leading to equitable economic returns to both producers and consumers in the cocoa value chain, and to contribute to a balanced development of the world cocoa economy. The organization also encourages research and the implementation of its findings through the promotion of training and information programs that is done at the ground level. One of the goals of the Family is to promote and encourage consumption of chocolate and cocoa-based products in order to increase demand for cocoa, the promotion of the positive attributes of cocoa, including health benefits, in close cooperation with the private sector, creating events, seminars and organizing expert panels.
